Rinuak fish from Maninjau Lake

Rinuak fish classified as endemic fish that live at Maninjau Lake. Rinuak fish is tiny fish, its size only similar as palm leaf rib, or tinier than Teri fish. But, even small, this fish have extraordinary delicious taste. Local people usually serving this fish as fried fish and perkedel (fish mixed with potatoes batter, and then fried).
Unfortunately, this fish now have bee endangered and almost extinct. Fishermen from around Maninjau Lake complained Rinuak fish decreasing production after the operation of Maninjau water power plant (PLTA).
Now, its call for scientific attention to conserves this fish. We hope so.
